BOX Web remote administration is quite simple to use remote control application. It's main difference compared to other remote administration applications (such as VNC, Remote Administrator, Remote Desktop) is portability. BOX Web remote control server application can run virtualy on any OS which runs Java Virtual Machine (JVM) JRE 1.4. So the server application is not bound only to Windows or Linux platform. The client part is web based thin client. This means, on client side you don't need nothing more than virtually any web browser which can display images and process basic forms (of course you need also network connection via TCP/IP protocol to the server). Also the latest advanced mobile phones gives you possibility to control or at least view desktop of your PC remotely via BOX Web remote administration. It's possible because they support full web enabled browsers (e.g. FireFox)

Possibility to change basic settings is available trough settings window. Here you can set server name which appears when you connect to it. There are also another important settings. One is the port number on which server listens for connection and second (bottom) is lenght of temp key. Temp key is temporary identification key which is passed to every url within BOX Web remote administration server and which identifies user in current session. Every successfully logged client gets randomly generated number, which is used through this session. After user logs off, this key is deleted (when same user log in for second time only last session is valid) so no one can access remote computer by obtaining this number from URL history. This allows you to control your computer from anywhere, also from net cafe and you don't have to worry about others, getting access to you computer by just exploring the browser's url address history. To be sure that you are safe, always press log off after you have finished your session.
Security panel allows to add, remove users. The BOX Web remote administration allows multiple users to connect at one time but all users will share one screen, mouse and keyboard. As it's not possible to fully support each user with his own workspace there is set limit to 5 users. In BOX Web remote administration users can be understood like different connection setting. At present time they can only differ in size of remote workspace/desktop snapshot picture by setting image quality. User passwords are saved encrypted to disallow somebody easily get user password by just viewing the password file.

BOX Web remote administration main application window provide scrollable output about processed activities such as startup settings, user logons, requested urls and also error messages.
